WHO CAN APPLY FOR KHATA IN KARNATAKA?

A rightful and legitimate ‘Title’ owner of the property can apply for Khata in a prescribed format. When the property documents are up to date, and there is no anomaly in the approvals related to a property, a Khata can be issued by the BBMP.

To apply for a Khata, the Title Holder must approach the ‘Assistant Revenue Officer’ or Revenue Officer with the relevant property documents such as Title Deed, Encumbrance Certificate, and property tax receipts. The application for Khata can also be made at the ‘Citizens Services Centre’ authorised by the Karnataka government. You will be required to fill a form to apply for a Khata. Once you deposit the form, you will get an acknowledgement.
